The Tiwi Islands is a region which is now part of the Northern Territory. The islands has a flag which was designed by two young boys and is used across the islands. The flag consists of ten horizonal burely bars of alternate white and yellow, The fly end has a black field with seven pointed mullet stars representing the southern cross, above a seven petalled adaption of the Sturt Desert Rose as used on the Northern Territory flag. Withing the horizontal bars are three drums, bird fauna and a barbed spear from the hoist to top of fly.
