The Governors Standard also referred to as the Governor’s Personal Standard or Governor’s Personal Flag is a blue ensign with Union Jack in the Canton along the hoist on a blue field with the St Edwards Crown atop the State badge of South Australia showing the White- backed Magpie (or Australian Piping Shrike) standing on a branch of a gum tree and is backed by a golden circle representing the rising sun.

The South Australian Governor Sir Marcus ‘Mark’ Laurence Elwin Oliphant KBE to change their flag to a slight variation of the State Flag.
