About the City of Willoughby Flag
Designed by John Vaughan, it features the wild flowers of Willoughby, which have been used to represent Willoughby since 1867. The green band encircling the flowers signifies the unity of the people of Willoughby. Two green horizontal stripes divide the flag in 5, representing the number of Wards in City. The red civic or mural crown represents the change from municipality to city.
